All-Russian Institute of Plant Protection is organizing the 14th International Symposium on Biocontrol and Biotechnology, which will be held at Management Training Center of High School of Economy (Saint-Petersburg, Pushkin) from 6 to 9 November 2016.
Town of Pushkin (Tsarskoe Selo) is the resplendent suburb of Saint-Petersburg where you could see Emperor’s Summer Palace and Catherine Park. The latter is a wonderful work of the Russian art of gardening from the 18th and 19th centuries, which combines the masterpieces of architecture with the beauty of the transforming nature of the north. The Symposium will be focused on the following research areas:
- Significance of genetic engineering for agriculture and medicine
- Biotechnological approaches for biocontrol enhancement
- Biotechnological approaches for development of new pesticides and drugs
- Biodiversity as a source of biocontrol agents and new molecules
- Novel biotechnology products
- Other areas related to biocontrol and biotechnology
